All-City First Team. The area’s dominant big man. Averaged 24 points, 16 rebounds and three assists. Led Bengals to the Proviso West Holiday Tournament title and 24-3 regular reason. Currently uncommitted and not receiving the attention from colleges that he deserves.


DaChaun Anderson, Leo, 6-7, F, Sr.

All-City Second Team. The area’s best pure rebounder for two seasons, he became a major scoring threat as a senior. Averaged 19.3 points, 12.2 rebounds and three blocks. Teamed with Fred Cleveland Jr. to lead the Lions to a 24-9 season and a regional championship.


Bryant Brown, Waukegan, 6-4, F, Sr.

Leading scorer in school history with more than 2,000 points. Four-year starter, three-year captain averaged 20.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals. Two-time All-Area selection. North Suburban conference Player of the Year. All-Tournament selection at Quincy and Wheeling. Led Bulldogs to conference title and into the sectional final with a 28-5 record. One of the best players in Lake County history.


Max Christie, Rolling Meadows, 6-7, G, Soph.

Has already scored more than 1,000 points in his career and is sixth in school history, high game this season was 51 points. All-Conference in the Mid-Suburban League and ranked in the top 20 in the national class of 2021 by several services. Set a York Tournament record by shooting 26-for-27 from the free-throw line. Averaged 26 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.


Perry Cowan, DePaul Prep, 6-4, G, Sr.

Signed with Brown. All-City Second team. Two-time All-Area selection. One of the area’s best shooters and most dependable players. Averaged 18.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.2 steals. Four-year starter, four-year All-Conference selection in the Catholic League, Lawless Award winner, leading scorer in school history.


RayJ Dennis, Oswego East, 6-2, G, Sr.

Signed with Boise State. Southwest Prairie conference MVP. All-Tournament at Hinsdale Central and Hoops for Healing. Averaged 24.1 points, 5.1 assists, 5.7 rebounds, 2.8 steals. Has scored more than 1,600 career points. Led Wolves to conference title and into sectional final with a 24-7 record.

Signed with Kansas State. Sun-Times Player of the Year. First Team All-City. Averaged 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Led the Condors to the city title, the Pontiac Holiday Tournament title and the Red-South/Central title. Unselfish style has helped his team to a 32-1 record, undefeated in the state, and a sectional final appearance.


Jeremiah Hernandez, St. Viator, 6-4, G, Sr.

Signed with Kent State. Four-year varsity played at an extremely high level as a senior averaging 19 points, 5 rebounds and four assists. Two-time East Suburban Catholic conference Player of the Year. Wheeling All-Tournament team selection. Teamed with Trey Calvin to led the Lions into the sectional finals with a 26-6 record.


Markese Jacobs, Uplift, 6-0, G, Sr.

Signed with DePaul. All-City Second team. Two-time All-Area selection. One of the state’s most talented players, nicknamed “The Show.” Averaged 30.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 3.8 steals. Missed the city tournament and state playoffs after suffering a knee injury.


Lance Jones, Evanston, 6-2, G, Sr.

Signed with SIU. One of the area’s best defenders and scored more than 1,200 points in his career. Led the Wildkits to state as a junior and has them 29-4 and in a sectional final this season. Averaged 16.1 points, 3 assists, 3 steals, 3.4 rebounds and shot 48 percent from the field.


Marquise Kennedy, Brother Rice, 6-1, G, Sr.

Signed with Loyola. All-City First team. Improved tremendously over the past four seasons and earned a reputation as one of the best shot-blocking guards the city has ever seen. Averaged 25 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4 assists. Had 57 steals and 41 blocks.


Jack McDonald, Geneva, 5-11, G, Sr.

Augustana recruit. Three-year starter at point guard, scored more than 1,100 points in his career and is the school’s all-time leader in assists. MVP of the DuKane Conference and MVP at the Wheeling Tournament. Teamed with Mitch Mascari to lead the Vikings to a 31-1 record heading into the sectional final. Averaged 15 points and six assists.


Adam Miller, Morgan Park, 6-4, G, Jr.

All-City First team. Tremendous shooter and one of the top 20 players in the national class of 2020. Helped lead the Mustangs to the Class 3A state title in 2018. Averaged 29.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.1 assists this season while leading the Mustangs to the Big Dipper title and second place in the city playoffs.


Antonio Reeves, Simeon, 6-4, G, Sr.

All-City Second team. Possibly the city’s best dual threat, able to score effectively in the post and on the perimeter. Chicago native arrived at Simeon this season after winning a state title in Arizona as a junior Averaged 21.7 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

All-City First team. Helped lead Fenwick to a second place finish in Class 3A as a freshman. Transferred to Young and made an immediate impact in the Public League, leading the Dolphins to the Red-North/West title. Averaging 24.3 points and 3.2 assists. Considered a top 100 player in the national class of 2020.


Ahron Ulis, Marian Catholic, 6-1, G, Jr.

A dynamic point guard and scorer that has already reached the 1,000 career point mark. Helped the Spartans to Peoria as a sophomore and to a sectional semifinal appearance this season. East Suburban Catholic co-player of the year, led the team to the conference title and a 27-5 record. Averaged 18 points, 5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals.


Tom Welch, Naperville North, 6-8, F, Sr.

Signed with Loyola. One of the area’s few dominant post players. DuPage Valley conference MVP, led Huskies to the conference title. Averaged 22.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and shot 60 percent from the field. Topped the 20-point mark 18 times and scored more than 30 points six times.


Jeremiah Williams, St. Laurence, 6-3, G, Jr.

Multi-faceted guard had a breakout season. A talented scorer, passer and defender. Led the Vikings to their first back to back 20 win seasons and back to back regional titles since 1980. Averaged 18.3 points , 9.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3 steals and 2.5 blocks.


Tujautae Williams, Orr, 6-6, G, Sr.

All-City Second team. One of the most unpredictable, promising guard talents in recent memory. Williams became an all-around force in his first season as a starter. Averaged 13.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2 steals and 1.3 blocks. Has teamed with Greg Outlaw and Sherif Kenney to lead the Spartans to a 24-11 record and the Class 2A state semifinals in Peoria.


Joseph Yesufu, Bolingbrook, 6-0, G, Sr.

Signed with Drake. Southwest Suburban conference Player of the Year. Decatur Tournament MVP. Four-year varsity point guard that led Raiders to a period of sustained success including a 22-7 record and a sectional final appearance so far this season. Averaged 17 points, four assists and four rebounds.
