The ten best college basketball recruiting classes in the country.
1. USC: Coach Andy Enfield has the best recruiting class in Trojans history. The loaded five-man class features three top 100 recruits from California, including a pair of five-star recruits in 6-9 Isaiah Mobley and 6-8 Onyeka Okongwu.
2. Villanova: Taking advantage of two national titles in three years, coach Jay Wright hits the jackpot with four players ranked among top 60 in the country. The headliners are two top 15 prospects –– 6-9 Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and 6-4 guard Bryan Antoine.
3. Arizona: Josh Green, a 6-6 shooting guard and top 15 talent in the class, is the biggest name. But two Arizona products ranked in the top 100, 6-6 Terry Armstrong from Scottsdale and top 25 guard Nico Mannion from Phoenix, stayed home.
4. Florida: The future in the backcourt is bright with two incoming five-star recruits in 6-4 Scottie Lewis and 6-4 Tre Mann, a local prospect out of Florida. The class also includes 6-9 Omar Payne, a third top 50 recruit from Montverde, Fla.
5. Louisville: A lot of quantity for first-year coach Chris Mack, who has secured six recruits, including a handful of four-star prospects. The centerpieces 6-9 Aidan Igiehon and 6-7 Samuell Williamson who are both among the top 50 prospects in the country.
6. Kentucky: John Calipari keeps the pipeline rolling with two national top 10 prospects in 6-6 Kahlil Whitney, who played his freshman year in Chicago at Solorio, and combo guard Tyrese Maxey out of Texas. Local product Dontaie Allen is a third top 100 recruit.
7. Ohio State: This star-studded class features three players ranked among the top 50 in the country. Point guard D.J. Carton is among the top 25 players in the country. Belleville West’s 6-7 E.J. Liddell is the best player in Illinois. And 6-9 Alonzo Gaffney is a prep school star from Cleveland.
8. Texas: The hometown kid, Will Baker, a 7-footer from Austin, Tex., is a consensus top 20 recruit. Donovan Williams, a 6-5 shooting guard, and 6-10 Kai Jones are two four-star recruits.
9. Oklahoma: Deep, balanced five-player class includes Chicago area junior college star Alondes Williams from Triton, a 6-5 scoring guard. Sooners dipped into Texas for two top 100 recruits –– point guard De’Vion Harmon and 6-7 Victor Iwuakor.
10. Auburn: Another strong recruiting class for coach Bruce Pearl, who nabs five players to keep this program rolling. The best of the bunch is 6-5 wing Isaac Okoro and combo guard Tyrell Jones, two players ranked among the top 100.
