Fenwick beat Leo 18-6 on Saturday.

The Friars (1-3, 1-2) lost quarterback Danny Cronin to a knee injury late in the first half, but Mitch Lopez helped Fenwick control the game on the ground with 103 yards on 28 carries. Lopez also caught a 58-yard touchdown pass from Cronin. Fenwick’s other touchdown came on a trick play, a double pass from Greyson Cole to Brian Moore to Marcus Wright covering 24 yards.

The Friars recorded two safeties, the first when Leo (1-3, 1-2) recovered its own fumble in the end zone and the second when a snap sailed over punter Jordan Anderson’s head and through the end zone. Fenwick’s defense held Leo to a season-low 36 rushing yards.

Leo quarterback Lateef Carwell passed for 166 yards, but completed just eight of 28 throws, including a 63-yard touchdown pass to Darryl Ousley-Parr.
