Belleville West’s EJ Liddell names final five, includes Illinois

Belleville West rising senior EJ Liddell trimmed his list of possible college destinations to five on Monday. Illinois made the cut.

Ohio State, Missouri, Wisconsin and Kansas State are the other schools still in consideration.

Liddell led Belleville West to the Class 4A state championship last season. He’s a consensus top 50 player in the national class of 2019.

According to Joe Henricksen’s in-depth look at Liddell’s recruitment earlier this week, Liddell will take five official visits. He’s heading to Ohio State the first weekend in September. Liddell participated in the Nike Skills Academy in California this weekend.
