Promotion/relegation has returned after a one-year absence from Chicago Public League basketball. The Sun-Times has obtained a copy of the 2018-19 basketball conference alignments.

Corliss and Urban Prep-Englewood have been promoted to the Red South-Central. Brooks has dropped to the White South and Dunbar dropped to the White Central.

Crane and Lane have been promoted to the Red North-West. Von Steuben has dropped into the White North and Westinghouse has dropped to the White West.

Here are the Red alignments for the upcoming season:
