Marist’s David Daniels (13) dunks in the second half against St. Viator as the Redhawks fall 54-49, February 10, 2018. | Allen Cunningham/For the Sun-Times.

Just another day in the 2017-18 basketball season. The No. 9 team lost to an unranked team and it was pretty much expected.

St. Viator played pretty well today and Marist definitely turned in its worst performance that I’ve seen so far. The RedHawks need Morgan Taylor to play at a ridiculously high level if they are going to beat very good teams. The Lions are kinda dominating the East Suburban Catholic this season. Seems likely they will join the Super 25 tomorrow.
