Loyola’s Connor Barrett (25) makes two points over Cody Spencer (4) Friday 01-12-18. Worsom Robinson/For the Sun-Times.

First look at Loyola and DePaul Prep for me this season. The Ramblers were rock solid, really controlled the second half of the game.

Perry Cowan was excellent, he’s one of the area’s best scorers. The Rams play a pretty slow style, so he doesn’t have the big numbers some other players do but he’s scoring a tremendously high percentage of his team’s points.

It’s likely Loyola gets into the Super 25 on Sunday. They are red-hot, playing very good defense and shooting well. Read all about it.
