A year after riding a wave of power pitching and power hitting to the Class 4A state title, Providence has reinvented itself.

The new formula is working pretty well for the Celtics, too.

Providence stole six bases, played perfect defense and got another efficient performance from pitcher Brent Villasenor on Saturday. That combination produced a 6-4 Catholic League Blue win over national No. 1 St. Rita.
