The route to get to Monday’s small school final at the Romeoville Christmas Classic was a hectic one for Oak Forest. It featured two last-second wins, one at the free-throw line and one on a buzzer-beating layup.

So a comeback win that didn’t come down to the closing seconds? Coach Matt Manzke will take it as his Bengals squeaked out another dramatic win, a 57-52 decision over host Romeoville. The win puts Oak Forest, the reigning champ, against Downers Grove North at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
