The Lincoln Park gym is definitely one of the city’s underrated gems. It has a great electricity when full, as much fun as Marshall or Bogan.

The Lions showed a lot of heart tonight. They were a few unforced errors away from knocking off a top ten team. Uplift survived (and provided some bulletin board quotes for Simeon).

There is a tentative city tournament bracket floating around the city. I expect a final version sometime tomorrow. The first round is on Feb. 6.

Wednesday’s top games

Farragut 56, Marshall 55: The Admirals with a nice win. This should secure fourth place in the Red-West for them. One of the games up in the air in the Public League is the Farragut at Young game. The Dolphins were playing DC that day. I’m assuming they will forfeit the game.

Crete Monee 83, Rich Central 71: Nice road win for the Warriors. Dwayne Rose led the way with 24 points and nine rebounds. It’s a little weird how out of the spotlight he’s been this season. Josh Evans added 18 points and eight boards.

Young 75, Westinghouse 62: A big game from Xavier Castaneda with 18 points. Jake Kosakowski returned from his injury and scored eight.

Phoenix 70, Crane 60: Greg Boyle scored 33. Khalid Herron added 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Collins 71, Clemente 61: I still need to see Collins. Teshawn Stokes led Clemente with 25 points.
