Brutal drive back from Lincolnshire, nothing was plowed until I got back to Chicago. That took most of my energy, so lets get right to tonight’s games.

Saturday’s top games

No. 20 Fremd 59, Notre Dame 45: The Vikings are 9-0 and gaining believers every day. This win was in Niles.

No. 2 Simeon 71, Dallas Highland Park 63: The Wolverines win in California. Evan Gilyard led the way with 19 points and Messiah Jones added 18 points and 10 rebounds. Kenny Pittman found his shot, scored nine.

Webster Groves, Mo. 69, No. 10 Uplift 82: The Titans fall to a St. Louis area power.

Waukegan 79, North Chicago 71: Great rivalry game. The Bulldogs pull it out thanks to 21 points in the second half by Carson Newsome, who finished with 24 points. DeShawn Davidson had 14, Jordan Brown 15 and Bryant Brown 11.

No. 9 North Lawndale 88, CBC Mo. 87: The Phoenix win a tight one. Martrell Barnes had 28 points and 19 rebounds. Carlos Hines had 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists

Conant 52, No. 12 Benet 48: Rough weekend for the Redwings. Ryan Davis had 18, Michael Downing 17. Big win for the Cougars.

Downers Grove South 58, No. 22 Downers Grove North 47: Denis Alibegovic and Tyree Spencer both had 18 points and Tj Clifford had 15. It’s the first loss of the season for North.

Hyde Park 41, Maine South 40: The Thunderbirds win it at the buzzer.

Crete-Monee 64, Lemont 60: A big night for Dwayne Rose with 22 points.
