Why did DePaul Prep dodge Uplift everybody know Orr and Uplift shouldn’t had play that early. Why do you’ll ‘Cheat’ the kids in Chicago basketball. Wow

really not understanding how this scheduling works, if city championship is decided why are CPLS still playing each other in non conference games? I thought the playoffs were to complete a season, not at mid-season,

If you loose in the first round two rounds you have a huge gap between that time and the state tournament if your a 3A 4A school in CPS. However 1A 2A Cps schools play the next week.

Playoffs win or go home every one 0-0 let’s go.😎

Will be in Arlington Heights saturday afternoon for the St.Viators St Patrick game…Is there any more upset magic left in the Lions?

Could the weekly boys basketball schedule be separated by day ?

Glenbard East Shootout….See You There… Sat..

Saw the Warren OPRF game Saturday at WWS. Usually dont say this but the ref cost OPRF the game with a brutal call. OPRF up 2 with 7 seconds left and OPRF’s big kid goes up and grabs a rebound off a Warren missed shot. As you would expect 3 Warren defenders try to foul him by reaching over his back. The call? Jump Ball. What a shame that they don’t use all 3 refs to get a call right. OPRF played really well and deserved that win.

St. Pat’s plays Orr, next Monday the 16th at 3:00. It’s not shown on the schedule above.

Are the conference standings being compiled and will it be posted at some point?

  • Coach Davis

Now that all the holiday tournaments are over its time for league play… I will be at Jacobs this Saturday to watch Cameron Krutwig again vs Crystal Lake South and Saturday night at Hershey to watch St.Viators vs Hershey..

So, St. Pat’s is a tough team to rank. You’re saying they only beat one good team, Wheaton North. St.Pat’s is a very good team. They are still learning and before this regular season is over, they will be better than very good. They have a very tough second half of the season. Conant at St. Pat’s, Notre Dame at St. Pat’s , Benet at St. Pat’s ,Marist and Marian Catholic on the road.St. Viator, though they don’t have a good record, they have beaten Marian Catholic and Benet Academy , still dangerous and others on the schedule. They play a Immaculate Conception at St. Pat’s this Friday. They are 10-3. The strong schedule will help St. Pat’s . They are still working with a lot of talented kids and getting them where they belong. They have good personnel problems. Lots of talented kids. So we will see !

St. Pats’ best win is against Wheaton North, currently ranked #45 in the state on MaxPreps. In other words, St. Pats has not beaten a top 40 team in the state so far this year. If they beat Benet next week, then you can start including them in the conversation. That’s the price you pay when your coach is more concerned about racking up career wins than preparing his team for the playoffs. Why did he schedule IC Prep? They have one fourth the number of boys in their school as St. Pats. You’re a 4A team playing 2A teams and you expect respect??

Coach Bailey also recently scheduled #8-ranked Orr to fill a scheduling vacancy. St. Pat’s has always played a very competitive schedule, and the ESCC is one of the best conferences in the state. So in the last four days, St. Patrick beat #9 Benet and # 8 Orr. The criticisms of this team and of Coach Bailey are unfounded.

The Conant-Hoffman Estates varsity game this coming Friday is at 6:00, not the 7:30 you have listed above. (FYI)

Glenbard West tournament starts the 23rd as well

  • Brandon Parer

Hope vs Urban Prep Bonzeville game has been cancelled. Urban Prep Bronzeville has cancelled the game due to unforeseen circumstances. It will not count as a forfeit

  • Brandon Parer

Hope does not play Crane on Dec 7th. That game was played on Dec 1st.

Joliet West at Minooka tonight. J-W needs to be wary of this game.

Got a chance to watch some Thanksgiving basketball at Fenwick, overall decent tournament Fenwick was head & shoulders better then the field. Though Fenwick isn’t better then last yr they will still be a top 20 team all yr well coached great team concept. Weak at guard play & isn’t very athletic. Hope Academy should be very competitive this season very well coached team. Westinghouse has ok team wasn’t impress with team plays a bit wild at times & has zero size they lost to Morton. Speaking of Morton should be an interesting team to watch very young stays in games due to 2-3 zone they play actually made it to Championship gm vs Fenwick where they got destroyed.

Congrats to Evanston Wildkits for winning the St.Viator Joe Majkowski Thanksgiving Tourney. Evanston over Mt. Prospect Nojel Eastern was a bit to much but he had plenty of help J.Holden the smooth lefty pg came off the bench with 11 and hit some big threes. Mt. Prospect did keep it close i look for them to be a dangerous team later in the season there very experienced.. Libertyville over Highland Park the box and one held down Drew Peterson but Brandon Rule stepped up with 15 Highland Park Ziv Tal with 22 .. Conant over St. Viators in a blow out Danny Ranallo had 14 in the 1st quarter and Ryan Davis finished with 25.. All around a great tournament….
